Detained is a South Jersey-based metal band that burst onto the music scene in 2018. Despite their young age of 17 at the time, this talented group of two musicians managed to write and record their debut studio EP, "Downfall," in 2020. Adding further credibility to their work, they collaborated with Casey Cavaliere from "The Wonder Years" as a co-producer on this record. 

 

Since then, Detained has transformed into a dynamic five-piece band, expanding their musical abilities and sound. Currently, they are fully immersed in the creative process of recording their seven-song EP, which is expected to be completed by late 2023 or early 2024. 

 

As musicians, Detained is driven by a powerful mission: to shed light on mental health and the often-overlooked struggles that come with it. Through their newest material, they aim to delve into the darker aspects of the human experience, providing a platform for listeners to connect with their own emotional battles. Detained hopes to show individuals navigating mental health challenges that they are not alone.
